The greatness of a community is most accurately measured by the compassionate actions of its members.
Who are we
We are a team of health professionals who are passionate about what we do and about the health of our clients.
What sets us apart is that we have all experienced ill health prior to our chosen careers, and we use these personal experiences to both fuel our passion to help other people, and also as a way to understand and empathise with our clients as they are going through their own journey to health.
Each of us have our own strengths and skill set, but we all share the same holistic view of health. We believe that health isn’t achieved by just doing one specific thing, but through a change in diet and lifestyle, and honouring the connection between mind and body.
Nicola Johnson
Owner of pH Clinic, Colon Hydrotherapist
Nicola is a certified Advanced Colon Hydrotherapist, GAPS practitioner, Yoga Practitioner and all round health enthusiast. Her passion for health stems from years of GIT issues, which led her to a healthy lifestyle and motivated her to learn about the gut and all its intricacies.
Colonic Hydrotherapy was such a pivotal treatment modality in my recovery from severe gut/skin issues, I was amazed that no one had told me about it earlier. Not only did it help rid my body of toxicity, it allowed me to deal with a lot of stored emotion in my gut that was clearly contributing to my illness. Coming from someone who has tried everything, mainstream and alternative I urge you to give Colonics a go! It can make the world of difference to your health and happiness.
Nick Dawe
Masters in Chiropractic
Mentors: Daniel Vladeta, Osteopath and Inventor of Oov product range
Brad Prestidge, Chiropractor and Carrick Neurology Diplomat
Abrar Kenja, healer and bio-physicist
My life passions are pretty simple: I love spending quality time with my family, spending time in the sun, training and testing my body and my mind, eating and drinking from the best sources I can and, of course, constantly learning how to be of service to more people professionally.
Johanna Fox
Colonic Hydrotherapist
After struggling for years with crippling anxiety, GIT issues and way too many rounds of antibiotics, finding Colonic Hydrotherapy was a massive breakthrough towards Joh’s personal health and wellbeing. She had such incredible results and was so keen to share her wisdom, she decided to study and become certified as a Colonic Hydrotherapist.
Joh is extremely passionate about helping people get healthy and well and brings to the clinic an abundance of determination, attention to detail and most importantly empathy as she’s been on a similar journey.
“...it was such a blessing to find pH clinic, now that I am working here I have the opportunity provide to others what the clinic has provided for me...”
Samantha Hardes
Colonic Hydrotherapist
Sam has always suffered from food sensitivities and IBS symptoms but she had just learnt to deal with them or more specifically- ignore them.
At some point she fell extremely sick with Glandular Fever and it was then she realised she needed to take matters into her own hands.
She delved deep into the practice of yoga and has since completed a couple of teacher trainings. In studying the practice of yoga she developed an understanding of energy and how it affects us in ways we can only attempt to comprehend.
She then began studying a bachelor in health science specifically designed towards Naturopathy and added Colonic Hydrotherapy to her learnings which enabled her to support her clients on many levels at pH Clinic.
“I feel like I have well and truly fallen down into the rabbit hole of alternate therapies and gut health. It is a major passion and goal of mine to be able to intertwine the physical and energetic components of holistic healing and living.”
Liz Lamb
Colonic Hydrotherapist
Liz is a long time client and friend of pH Clinic, now Colonic Hydrotherapist.
Liz brings a wealth of knowledge about holistic health and in particular Chronic Illness. Her relatability, understanding and patience is what sets her apart and we just know you’ll love her!
Liz studied Graphic Design at University however she always knew it just wasn’t her true passion…
“After navigating my way through Chronic Lyme disease, I needed extra help. From all the heavy antibiotic IV treatments, parasites, chronic constipation, endometriosis, PCOS- (yep it’s been a struggle!) I found myself at pH clinic.
Colonics transformed my life by eliminating the built up waste and toxicity my own body couldn’t. They lift my brain fog, fatigue disappears and skin clears!
I started to talk to people about my gut, and it got them talking and made me realise that gut health is not spoken about! A taboo subject that shouldn’t be Taboo! I started to get passionate about wanting to help people that want to take that next step to improve their gut health but don’t know where to start.
Once I realised this was my real passion I started training as a colonic Hydrotherapist and I couldn’t be more excited to meet you all and help you to discover the magic of colonics, enemas and just all things gut health!”
Claire McCarthy
Colonic Hydrotherapist
I was first introduced to Colon Hydrotherapy when searching for answers to health issues I’d been experiencing for many years. Chronic constipation, food intolerances, parasites, adult acne, gas, bloating and low mood set me on a mission to heal my body.
The first lesson for me was ‘food is medicine’ – I adopted nutrition and exercise principles into my life that made a big difference.
I then completed a Diploma of Nutritional Medicine (ACNT Sydney) and through my studies learned what an essential player the gut is to physical & mental health and overall wellbeing. But even when eating well and exercising, I still battled with chronic constipation. It was finding Colonic Hydrotherapy that was the missing piece of the health puzzle for me.
Clearing away old toxicity from my body has taken my health to a whole new level. It’s made such a huge difference to my life that I knew I wanted to support others on their gut health journey. I’ve been having colonics myself for over 6 years, and completed my Colon Hydrotherapy training in 2019.
“I love seeing clients experience the amazing physical, mental and emotional benefits of Colonics for themselves. Although the first time having a Colonic can be a little nerve-wracking, it’s absolutely worth it and quickly becomes a therapeutic time of relaxation and release.”
Hayley Stockbridge
Naturopath
Hayley is a Naturopath and also a mum of 2 young boys – so understands the juggle of busy family life and how this can impact your health. Hayley has completed a Bachelor of Applied Science (Naturopathic studies) and a Post Graduate diploma of Naturopathy in 2007 and has worked in clinical practice ever since. She now many years experience in supporting her patients through all aspects of a healthy family life and treats women, men, babies, kids and adolescents. While she treats all health issues, she has a special interest in gut health (including IBS, constipation, inflammatory bowel diseases, bloating and reflux) as well as women’s health, pregnancy, fertility and hormones. Her current obsession is helping mums! There are so many mums out there with young kids who are struggling to juggle their family, social and working life. And as a result are depleted, exhausted, run down, gaining weight, sleeping poorly, anxious, suffering from brain fog, headaches and have poor immunity. Helping mums to feel like their old selves again by focusing on their own health and wellness regimes is such a privilege.
"I am a big believer in patient education and giving you practical skills to put your health into your hands. I also believe in getting to the bottom of your health history and therefore functional testing is a big part of my practice as we educate you on all things health related”
Aimee Woods
Naturopath
Aimee is a qualified Naturopath with a Bachelor of Health science in Naturopathy. She has a passion for women’s, and children’s health, especially digestive disorders, endocrine disorders, and mental health. But this is not all she sees in the clinic.
Aimee started her naturopathic journey after experiencing first hand just how essential herbal medicine and nutrition are when it comes to optimum health. She was diagnosed with an Autoimmune condition called Graves disease at the age of 18, which resulted in a full thyroidectomy. This raised many questions as to why this happened and how it could have been prevented, and her love for preventative medicine blossomed from there. Aimee is a mum of three wonderful girls, who have been the perfect teachers (and students) when it comes to children’s health and the obstacles that families face in those early years.
Aimee’s aim is to help you find ‘the why?’ using a holistic approach to health with the aim of finding the root cause of illness, supporting your body in its ability to heal itself, and then optimising your well being. This includes herbal medicine, homeopathy, nutrition, lifestyle changes, education and functional testing when customising your wellness plan.
“I feel very blessed to be working in an industry that focuses so much on prevention, holistic wellness and patient empowerment and I look forward to working with you.”
Ali Berecry
Naturopath
Ali left a high-pressure job in finance to study complementary medicine after seeing a Naturopath for her own health issues. She was inspired by how she was able to regain control of her stress levels, hormones and immune system, and became increasingly curious about how many more options there were available to people with chronic illnesses than were being offered.
Her focus is embracing the latest scientific research about the body’s biochemical pathways and combining this with thousands of years of traditional knowledge about complementary and alternative medicine. This may include diet and lifestyle modifications, herbal medicines and nutritional supplements, each individualised to every patient to ensure changes are achievable and sustainable, thereby empowering you to take control of your health and wellness.
"If there is one phrase that embodies why I chose to become a Naturopath it’s the old Catalan proverb “from the bitterness of disease man learns the sweetness of health”. My passion is helping people whose quality of life has been really impacted by a condition, especially when they feel like they’ve exhausted every possible avenue available to them and are losing hope of ever feeling well again."

“Kinesiology has changed my life! After my first session I felt much more confident and connected. After a few sessions I was anxiety and insomnia free. My relationship with myself and others has improved dramatically. Kinesiology helped me to connect the dots between physical symptoms and my emotional state by identifying unconscious limiting beliefs and negative behaviour patterns I was holding on to. I found my life’s purpose and it brings me joy to share this powerful experience with my clients.”

Deborah Thomas
Physiotherapist
Deb studied Physiotherapy at the University of Sydney and has been in private practice on the Northern Beaches for over 12 years. Deb’s love for movement and the body started in her teens as a full-time dance student in Sydney and then in Melbourne with the Australian Ballet School.
Deb has completed many post-grad courses, but the ConnectTherapy™ approach by Dr LJ Lee re-shaped the way she sees the body. In this approach, finding the driver of the non-optimal movement and pain is most important. Treatment is shaped on restoring this function and re-training. Deb is also a Pilates Practitioner and teaches on Polestar Rehab Education courses in Australia.
“PH clinic is so complimentary to the work of a manual therapy practitioner. All the modalities on offer assist with whole body health.”

Currently, her work is split across three domains: private and confidential sessions with clients at pH Clinic; facilitating groups at one of Sydney’s leading private hospitals; and, as the founder of Future Culture, she supports corporate businesses and other organisations with Wellness and Employee Assistance Programs (EAP).
“With curiosity, compassion and professional levels of care, I support people to come home to Self, finding freedom from the grip of common modern day afflictions, including: chronic stress, addiction, low mood or depression, anxiety, workplace struggles, relationship issues, childhood trauma, some eating disorders, or other unique life challenges."

Betsy Burnett
Clinic Administrator / Therapy Concierge
I’m a bit of a work gypsy as I have had vast experiences in terms of places of work and qualifications. I’m a primary school teacher, personal trainer, personal development coach, gymnastics & acrobatic arts instructor as well as holistic health advocate!
My step into the fitness industry was not only the beginning of a new career path for me, it was also the start of my personal development journey. This fitness journey turned into a holistic health journey and has shown me my strengths and weaknesses, allowed me to become a better version of myself day by day, month by month, and year by year! I have learn about my body, my mind and my soul and I am constantly looking to grow and better myself from the inside out.
One of the biggest things that I have learnt on my personal development journey has been goal setting and achieving what you set out to achieve! I love sharing this with people and helping them reach the goals that they want to achieve in their life, whether that be physical, emotional or spiritual.
My feel my purpose in life is to educate and inspire this generation and the next to be the best that they can be through training, nutrition, education and lifestyle.
A quote that I live by is ‘make your own magic’ because I believed we are what we put out there.

pH Team Testimonials
"I had my first experience with colonic hydrotherapy with the lovely Johanna. I had 3 sessions as suggested for my first time to get the best outcome. I can honestly say this has changed my life. Johanna was supportive, communicative and gentle the entire time. This has helped my bloating, stomach pains, naughty food cravings, no signs of premenstrual dysphoric disorder and little to no cramps. My anxiety is nowhere to be seen and I have even increased my productivity at work with no afternoon slump. Would highly recommend!!"
Jessica Bull
My first experience with pH Clinic was amazing! I booked for a hydrotherapy and infrared sauna package. I would have been a mess of nerves but Samantha talked me through it the whole time and made me feel 100% comfortable. Now I know that gut health is complex, super important and I’m ready to keep doing the work to reverse all those years of damage. I didn’t think twice before booking my next appointment! Will gladly drive 45 mins to this cosy little store because these girls are the BEST.
Rhiannon Metcalfe
"I didn’t realise how rundown I was feeling on a daily basis until I started to feel better. I didn’t realise how toxic I was! The education I received from Nicola was fascinating and logical. I must say I was nervous at first but the process was easy and clean. Not embarrassing at all. The benefits outweigh any embarrassment factor! Colonics are must for everyone! Thank you for giving me back my spark!"
