you need that you just won’t do at home
The use of cold temperatures as a therapeutic treatment has existed since ancient times. Ice packs and baths are ways we already expose our body to cold temperatures in order to treat inflammation and sooth aching muscles. In recent years, technology has advanced and we are now able to deliver cold air technology quickly and hygienically.
At pH Clinic we have a state of the art Cryobody CTN full body Cabin and a localised XCryo treatment device both all the way from Finland. We have personally tried and tested many different devices over the years and believe we have sourced the best in the industry.
Cryotherapy may help to support the following:
The Cryo Cabin exposes your full body to a super fine Liquid Nitrogen mist which can go as low as -160 degrees celsius. Our bodies’ physiological and hormonal reactions to this stimulus are at the core of the restorative, rejuvenating and relaxing effects of Cryotherapy, when used in a safe environment, for an appropriate period of time and using high-quality equipment and protective wear.
Our localised XCryo device allows us to target areas of the body that require specific treatment to deliver the benefits of Cryotherapy straight to where its needed. This device is operated based on a high volume and velocity of cooled air (-35 degrees celsius). This provides a very efficient and safe method of producing the therapeutic thermal shock to the treated area.

There’s no such thing as a silly question, especially when your health is concerned. Here are some of our Cryotherapy FAQs. For any other advice on love, life and colonics drop us a line.
Inflammation and Muscle Repair
Cryotherapy stimulates our anti-inflammatory proteins, promoting mobility and circulation. The increase in blood flow stimulated by this therapy kickstarts muscle cell turnover and hence initiates deep repair. The de-inflammation of the body supports a reduction in chronic pain and works to relieve sports related injuries. A decrease in joint stiffness is another wonderful benefit, initiating a reduction in arthritis related suffering.
Collagen Production
The invigoration of the body during Cryotherapy boosts collagen production to promote anti-aging and skin rejuvenation. In line with this production of collagen, Cryotherapy assists in improving eczema and psoriasis. Due to the increase in cell turnover promoted by increased circulation, acne scarring and sun damage can also be healed at an increased rate.
Mental Wellbeing
As Cryotherapy works to reduce inflammation, oxidative levels of stress are consequently reduced. Oxidative stress is associated with cognitive decline, meaning Cryotherapy can be used to treat dementia and other age related impairments. Many mental health conditions can be linked to inflammation, with studies supporting the use of Cryotherapy in the ease of depression and anxiety.
Migraines and Fatigue
Migraines can be the result of inflamed proteins, meaning the application of Cryotherapy to the neck area can allow for a reduction in chronic pain experienced as a result of migraines. The increased blood circulated also stimulates the nervous system, promoting a sense of alertness and increased energy levels for those experiencing fatigue.
Cryotherapy exposes the body to extremely cold temperatures for just a few minutes at a time creating vasoconstriction of the peripheries’ blood supply. This pushes all blood back into the vital organs including the filtration organs of the Liver, Spleen and Kidneys allowing them to process toxins. When the body warms back up the peripheries’ blood supply dilates and returns clean and newly oxygenated blood to your muscles, joints, fascia, skin etc.
You are in the Cryo Cabin for a maximum of 3 minutes, localised treatment times vary depending on the application but due to the extremely low temperatures, a maximum of 3 minute intervals at a time is all this is necessary.
Your funkiest underwear, strictly NO underwire bras ladies, no jewellery and you cannot come straight from the Sauna or Gym as you must have NO moisture on the skin. We’ll give you a robe to wear to and from the device to the change room.
Great question! It feels cold but as its a dry cold its tolerable! It gradually builds in intensity and by the end you feel invigorated and super human. It’s 2-3 minutes so very managable, you can even practice some Wim Hoff breathing and your favourite dance moves in the cabin.
Yes, we are very proud to be the first in Australia to have installed the safest and most technologically advanced Cryotherapy machine on the market – the CryoCabin. The mist encircling your body inside the Cryocabin is Nitrogen, a non-toxic gas that makes up over 70% of the air we breathe. Your head is above the top of the Cryocabin at all times and your hands and feet are well protected by insulating boots and gloves. A highly trained Technician stays with you throughout the session monitoring your body’s response. Oxygen monitors, alarms and other safe guards are also used to track your progress. You are able to leave the Cryocabin at any time. Rest assured, client safety is our highest priority.
The full body cabin is not suitable for pregnant women, however it is totally safe if you are breastfeeding. If you are pregnant, we can administer the spot treatment XCryo for areas of concern eg knees, shoulders, lower back, face etc.

This really depends on the reasons you are wanting to use CRYO and also dependant on how your body uniquely responds to the treatment. For this reason, we recommend that new clients trial Cryo for about 3 sessions. For general wellbeing, we recommend 1-2 sessions per week. For pain management, muscle repair and recovery and injury management, we recommend as often as your body feels you need the treatment. For skin rejuvenation, raising of the metabolism and accelerated injury recovery, we recommend 3 sessions per week.
