The Health Benefits of Copaiba Oil

What is Copaiba Oil?

The Copaiba tree is found in South America, where it can grow upwards of 100 feet, and Copaiba essential oil is actually extracted from the resin of these incredible trees. The use of Copaiba essential oil dates back to as far as the 16th century, where natives in northern Brazil used it in their traditional health. Today it is now used world wide in beauty products like creams, lotions and perfumes, and also therapeutically in it’s extracted oil form.

What are the health benefits of Copaiba?

Copaiba essential oil is a powerful antioxidant and can assist with:

  • Pain and injury management
  • Calming and supporting the Nervous System
  • Cardiovascular health
  • Immunity
  • Digestive and gut related issues
  • Respiratory function
  • Improving skin health

The Benefits of BCP

One of the most fascinating things about Copaiba is that it contains BCP (beta-caryophyllene), which is one of the most effective and therapeutic compounds found in Cannabis Oil. Coming from the Copaiba tree, it does not contain any psychoactive or psychotropic cannabinoids (so there are no “highs” involved). So you can have similar health benefits as CBD, without worrying about THC contamination or any legal issues which are associated with CBD oil use.

Why do you use the doTERRA Copiaba Essential Oil?

DoTERRA uses four types of resin (the only one on the market to do so), to create an oil that has 60% BCP. It’s also safe, legal and also affordable. Affordability is especially for us as we see a lot of clients with chronic health problems, and we wanted to be able to provide a product that could be used regularly for treatment that wouldn’t cost a fortune.
